When I first visited Hampton Court Palace a couple of years ago, all I could think was how crazy my Mum would go for the place. Its like stepping back in time – albeit with a few more tourists and a few less legit royals. Still, she loved it, I loved visiting again, and I took a bunch of delightful photographs which I am sharing with you today.
We spent a lot more time meandering around the gardens this time – it was a gorgeous late Summer’s day and Mum loves a garden. I might have stolen some royal apples.
Does anyone know what these purple roses are called? They are my new favourite. I’m holding on to these for a potential spring range of purses, what do you think?
I’ve especially become obsessed with artichoke flowers since this visit. I’d never seen one before and they are magnificent. Like a giant thistle!

Are those roses maybe Peonies? Also, I was looking at that photo thinking it would make a nice purse!
