Description

SLEEPY BALM

Ingredients: Sweet Almond Oil, Lavender Flower, Valerian Root, Hop Flower, Beeswax.

Use: Keep beside the bed for those times you can’t sleep. Massage a small amount into your temples and wrists before bed, inhaling the light, soothing scent as you drift off to sleepy town. Both Hops and Lavender are known for their anti-anxiety properties, and Valerian is the secret ingrediant that knocks you out in any good sleepy tea – its been proven to reduce the time taken to fall asleep, and improve sleep quality – as well as keeping stress levels down and stabilising the central nervous system. Bloody perfect for easing the mind before bed, especially if you are a stress head like me. Take it when you next time you fly, its bloody handy on planes.

Valerian is best avoided during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Don’t use this if you’re about to drive a car or use heavy machinery, and avoid if you already find yourself overly lacking in energy.

Always do a bit of your own research or talk to an expert before using for medical purposes.

Important Note: Dark Times Apothecary offerings are small tokens to help you feel like you have some control, or power in these times where lets be honest – none of us feel like we do. They are intented to help you feel less lost, less alone – more grounded and focussed in your own life, time, situation. These are not intented to replace actual healthcare (I am not currently a trained professional), they are intented to be coping mechanisms to help you get through the day. Also they smell nice.

About Us: All Dark Times Apothecary products are made in very small batches from herbs grown, foraged or carefully selected by me, Dianne Tanner. My knowledge comes from extensive learning and research, or was handed down to me through my family and upbringing in rural New Zealand (via ancestors in England and Scotland). I follow a loose Pagan-Witch path, learning with the seasons and finding things that help me cope with the ever-increasingly difficult times we live in. These are the offerings I am sharing here with you, in the hope that they give you some tools to cope as well. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Packaging & Shipping: Shipping is available Worldwide. Please note Dark Times is not responsible for any additional charges added at customs. All items will ship within 2 – 3 days of purchase and charge a flat rate for all items. All items are shipped in repurposed packaging to reduce waste where possible. Labels peel off the bottles easily to allow for recycling, or get in touch to send your bottles back for re-use.

I am going to order this by the bucket load.
I normally really struggle to get to sleep due to anxiety and this stuff helps me drift off so much quicker. I can’t thank you enough.

I have used this sleepy balm many times to relax at my desk, the scent seems to ground me and stop my brain from spinning out.

The other night I had some lovely CBD oil and slathered this balm all over my wrists and dabbed it on the dry skin around my nose (poor me, I have hayfever! I blow my nose a lot!) and I honestly slept for like 11 hours.
